Our Wedding

Our story in a sentence is that we met at a Texas church retreat. And then Dagi texted Mercy on VIBER!! DMs!!&nbsp;That sums it up really. The rest, as they say, is history. This story page is not to state how much we love each other (of course we do, ባንዋደድ እንጋባ ነበር? Haha) but to tell our story leading up to this day – individual and coupled. We are a product of the love and mercy of God. That is the thesis of our story. We’ll be the first to tell you that our lives are far from perfect (including the story of why this website was launched way later than it should have — life got life-ing, okay?). But like many of you, we are imperfect living proof of a living perfect God. A God who shows up for us despite our imperfections and lives in us. Everything in our story is because he comforted us with his presence, healed us, and protected us. We are grateful he brought us together. If you are able to, we would be happy to have you present at our ceremony to give him the glory and prayerfully commit our lives to serve each other and others (with His grace, of course) to celebrate our union and live a life that glorifies him.

Travel

EWR is the closest airport to the venue. Once at the airport, guests can utilize the NJ Transit Rail to get around or use rideshare applications like Uber and Lyft.

Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR)

PHL is a good alternative to EWR Airport. While it is further from the venue, it sometimes has more affordable flights and public transportation to New Jersey. Renting a car and driving to the venue or catching a train at the 30th Street Station are options worth looking into.

Located in Woodbridge and with Prudential Center reachable within 15 miles, Residence Inn by Marriott Woodbridge Edison/Raritan Center has free bikes, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a fitness center. The property is around 16 miles from New Jersey Performing Arts Center, 23 miles from Statue of Liberty and 24 miles from Ellis Island. Guests can chill out in the indoor pool.
